One of the first thing you see when you go to this site is a listing
of Essex County towns. Currently the towns of: Amesbury, Beverly, Gloucester, Haverhill,
Ipswich, Lynn, Marblehead, Newbury, Newburyport, Peabody, Rockport, Rowley, and Salem
have their own Gen Web pages. There is a list of county resources, a queries page, some
books that people will do lookups for you in, and a link to early Essex County
families. Warning! many of the towns use Geocities for their web provider. Geocities
inserts irritating full page advertisements in your face while your trying to navigate the
site. They go away in @15 seconds.

book detailing his search for his ancestors with tips on how to go about it.
Fair is the Place
The genealogy 'Fair is the Place' 3rd edition is now
available. This is an account of two Mac Donald Families at Judique, Cape
Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. The first family were the Bogainn Mac Donalds,
a group consisting of four married brothers and their sister who emigrated
to Pictou, Nova Scotia in the closing years of the 18th century from
Scotland. The second family is the Clan Sheumais of Judique, Cape Breton who
are descended from James Baille of Eilean Shona, Moidart, Scotland.
